ABOUT BISHAMON

·On a personal level, Bishamon is, perhaps, my favorite character that I'm currently developing, and is debatable if she's my most popular character out of what I own. Much of my RP experiences has gone beyond boundaries of realms I never thought I would cross; she's, simply out, a character I enjoy.Bishamon is a complex character. She's not a villain nor a hero. She doesn't herald herself to be either, but rather a savage on a journey of mind cleansing. Due to the nature of her background and her tale, it is highly recommended that you practice patience RP'ing with her. Also, she's along the line of the Dark Mature RP genre, so I urge you to be of 21+ years to interact. Her moral grounds cross the lines of being chaotic neutral to being chaotic lawful.Due to her upbringing, Bishamon has mostly rejected her feminality in favor of character freedom; she dons whatever will fit her motive i.e. job/class. This range from fully clothed in far eastern garb to her signature minimal Hempen wear ala "Crying Ah Lam" outfit.Beyond that, she's not what you consider a fashionista.

• A HEADS UP: Bishamon will not interact with just anybody. She's not as "social" as you think. Tread carefully on how you approach or interact with Bishamon. This will not be meta'd and one you'll have to discover for yourself.• Bishamon doesn't involve herself in politics and doesn't care about the person that has maimed seven-hundred innocents. But for the right price, she will lend a hand or two for whatever job you need.Update: it is revealed that Bishamon now controls an organization known as "The 108 Dragons".• Bishamon doesn't make empty promises or threats. Tread carefully on the things you say and how you come across her. There are tales of many men and women who failed to heed the words and paid gravely for their ignorance. This can be discussed OOC regarding the types of tales.• If your origins stem from Abalathia's Spine you perchance heard rumors about the Red Devil and saw a girl in her pre-teens featured on a wanted scroll for arrest at the time. The Sekiseigumi Noir (the Black Sekiseigumi incident) is a coined term used to document the events of several crimes that were committed, including the uncovering of a sex trafficking ring, drug cartel, the murdering of three victims (two female Hyurans and one female minor Lalafell), the mass murdering of the culprits, and a supernatural event that featured Shiang Wei coming into her new power (dubbed the awakening).The culprit leader, Jonathan Yen Wong, was among the most notorious in the group to lead the entire crime ring. Also among the suspects were Sekiseigumi members Liu Fielding, Rodman Watts, and Tacoma Watanabe.Due to the heinous nature of the events, Shiang sought revenge to assassinate Jonathan and kill off the rest of the organization. It wasn't that long until Ser Righteous Long, former Knight of Ishgard and on his own journey, witnessed the attack and managed to help Shiang put away the suspects and bring Wong in.The massacre of the criminals led to protests against Shiang's arrest and charge with Capital Murder, but learning after the counts of what Jonathan has done to her, the abuse endured, and the deaths of the women, all charges were dropped. Survivor Spring Pureheart disappeared from the scene, never heard from again.

·TraffickingCLASSIFIED DETAILS: Shiang's renown was a petty thief and working odd jobs to scuttle some change here and a few Gil there. It wasn't until long she ran into Jonathan Yen Wong, who offered her a job to get off the streets. In truth, Jonathan devised a plan to kidnap Shiang and sexually abuse her. It was at this point that Shiang was abused for over four months and witnessed the formation of his small organization that trafficked innocent victims and sold them off to the highest bidders.By this point, she met the Watson twins, Lilja Talalilja, and Spring Pureheart, the latter of whom she ran into a few times. All four were also victims of trafficking and sold to Sekiseigumi members:·Liu Fielding: one of the leaders and main bidder. He moved drugs from the Ruby Sea over to Limsa Lominsa and had dealings with Jonathan for quite a while.·Rodman Watts: one of Liu's brutes and a loyal runner for Jonathan.·Tacoma Watanabe: a drug addict that hides his lifestyle well from his Sekiseigumi brethren. Unlike the three, his actions were always met with hesitation.The three men took the victims with the intent to sell them to the highest bidders, but Bishamon and the group managed an escape attempt. As they were tracked nearly outside of Yanxia, the order was given to the men to bring them back. However, Bishamon and crew were faced with a dilemma: go with them to be sold as sex slaves or to put up a fight and defend the victims.Bishamon was strategically captured and forced to watch the sexual abuse and murderings of the Watson twins (up-and-coming songbirds), and Lilja Talalilja (a missing child from Ul'dah).

SKILLS

Bishamon carries some unique skills she uses due to the traits inherited during her journies. Though they may seem powerful to the ignorant, bear in mind there are also drawbacks to certain traits she carries.NOTE: this section is also under construction. Be warned that traits she will inherit will be highlighted as a skill or move that will either alter the scene or modify the character completely. It is highly recommended that you DM the player/author for details regarding this.OUTLINE: a skill that may appear too simple to master, but only Bishamon uses this technique to hide from the naked eye. Manipulating the aether current to bend the light and realm into her own will, rendering her completely invisible to the naked eye, even those with aesthersight.This skill is usually utilize to spy or to stalk her prey. It is said that only the dead could possibly spot her.NOTE: this move renders her completely invisible and naked to one's eye. If you're of the undead, we can roll for any possible whereabouts she is.

AEGIS BLOWGUN: a long narrow tube that is used for light projectiles. In this case, Bishamon uses this to blow extremely potent darts towards the person aimed.The types of darts used depends on what color dart equipped in the Blowgun. Commonly, Bishamon uses the darts to place her assailant(s) to sleep, with only once was it utilized to paralyze a person, who said to have drowned due to not recovering from the toxin.NOTE: the Blowgun only materializes while she is "OUTLINED", thus no one will ever see the weapon naturally. There will also be a notice to the player of this weapon, the status, and the overall outcome should they be hit by the dart. It is then asked to roll for success.

UMBRA LACESSIT: Translates to "Shadow Clutch" (or "Yǐngzi shǒu ná bāo" as you will hear Bishamon chant) is a skill in which Bishamon takes two kunais and tosses them onto the ground where her opponent's shadow is cast, which in turn locks the opponent in place. Though not entirely disabled, they will be unable to move about like normal.

_ABOUT THE CREATOR

Personal note: I'm not going to be grammatically accurate on this. So I ask for patience and to bear with me.Bishamon Koppelthorn started as a character that's a homage to my best friend's assorted profiles he created with the name Kopplethorn associated. Over time, this character started to receive a lot of role-playing time with many that saw the complexities Bishamon truly possesses. I was expecting some negative feedback (as I'm not that experienced in RP'ing), but I did not expect an overwhelming response to how awesome my character is. So, I felt that I owe you all that are reading this a bit of an explanation.As of this writing, Bishamon is relatively new. I've spent arduous time crafting and honing her aesthetics and lore, as I didn't desire to create just another female. I wanted to curate a character that the few can relate to and could see traits of passion that I have to create a positive influence in the community. The journey is not without its flaws, however.A lot you see here on this card is an inaugurate outlook on what's to come. Much is still being developed on this character and many have been waiting for some sort of card for her. So I wanted to take the time that I have to compose one. Please note that there are still more features I will add, so do bear with me as time progresses.I wish to show my gratitude to those that have taken the time to love on the character, RP'ed with, and overall gave me the craziest feedback I've ever had on any character created. This humbled me greatly and I hope it inspires you to get out there, enjoy yourself in FFXIV, and explore what the good side of the community has to offer.
